Are you the parent or caregiver of a child who has struggled with emotional or physical challenges? Was there ever a time that you felt like you were alone? There are many other care givers out there navigating their way through a similar journey, and they could use your support. CSO has a unique opportunity for you to share your lived experience and provide guidance and insight to those going through challenges similar to the ones you've already endured.
A Family Partner within our Children's Behavioral Health Services at CSO provides support and coaching to parents & caregivers who are currently involved in the Intensive Care Coordination process. They are relied upon to offer support and understanding while helping other parents/caregivers gain the skills and self-confidence needed to meet their child's complex needs. Family partners help others learn how systems such as the Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Families, schools, courts and the like can be managed and utilized as child serving systems. They are involved first hand in the wraparound process and care planning and are a valued member of the care coordinating team. CSO provides excellent training for Family Partners as well as close supervision to support staff in their work with youth and families. Please, if you can offer support through your own lived experience, apply today.
To be a Family Partner at CSO, you must have a high school diploma or GED as well as two years' experience working with children, adolescents or transition age youth. We also need our Family Partners to have experience as parent or caregiver of a youth with special needs, preferably, mental health needs. The qualified candidate must have a willingness to share their experience with child serving systems. Additionally, we ask that you possess the ability to occasionally work evenings with some flexible hours.
We provide our employees with competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including full coverage health and dental insurance and ample paid time off (vacation, personal, sick, and holidays). Additionally, we offer a retirement savings plan and an employee referral bonus program. CSO provides their staff with regular in-house training and professional development opportunities with free CEUs. Our voluntary supplemental insurances include short and long-term disability, cancer, accident and life. We also offer a premier employee assistance program (EAP) and personal cell phone plan discounts.
