Bachelors level staff working with clinical team to support youth and families in crisis. MCI Recovery Advocate will assist clients and families in defining goals, reaching solutions, and achieving stabilization as part of a crisis intervention plan using a wraparound philosophy. Role includes Crisis phone triage, providing supportive services to Crisis Stabilization clients, and providing family support and training while working with a clinician in Mobile Crisis Intervention procedures.
MCI Advocate roles are outreach and require regular community travel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline or related field. Qualification as a family partner preferred (person with extensive experience caring for a child receiving services). May also be a paraprofessional or peer specialist. Demonstrated experience working with children and families, demonstrated parenting skills, and good listening skills; an ability to foster self-sufficiency, familiarity with support and parent education resources, and an ability to use Wraparound philosophy emphasizing family and individual voice and choice. Knowledge of community needs and resources, Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software., and excellent oral and written communication required. CPI Safety certified or willingness to obtain CPI Safety Training certification. Must be able to work independently and follow through with projects as well as be an effective member of a team. Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
