Outpatient School-Based Clinician, Northampton

CSO is looking for an Outpatient/School-Based Clinician to provide direct and indirect mental health services to at risk middle and high school students in Northampton. 

This position will be school-based 3 days/week and will be in an outpatient clinic setting the other 2. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial assessment for students referred and ensure linkage to appropriate ongoing treatment as indicated or needed.
  • Coordinate SUD treatment with behavioral health care and wrap around programming at community organizations for participating students
  • Provide school-based support groups, individual and family therapy, and linkages to after school programming and related pro-social activities for referred youth.
  • Will provide consultation to school personnel as needed.
  • Will function as a part of an integrated team with school guidance counselors and will convene on community conferences and repeat assessments.
  • Provide school-based counseling for children at contract designated schools 4 days/week and provide Outpatient clinical services one day/week from a CSO designated clinic.
  • Develop treatment plans and goals.

Qualifications

Clinical Master's degree required with post master experience preferred in treatment of adults and/or families Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and computer competency.  Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment, and follow through with projects. Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software.  Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
