Clinical Supervisor, Respite Services, Greenfield

CSO is looking for a Supervising Clinician for our Respite Program in Greenfield, MA.

This Supervisor will provide direct and indirect mental health services to CCS/Respite clients.

Our Respite services offer clients a quiet, home-like atmosphere. We provide daily assessment and brief counseling, case management, nursing support and peer support. Respite services have recovery and wellness focused groups, psychiatric consultation when needed and also provide discharge planning. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical services to CCS/Respite clients including stepdown screening, comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, clinical contacts, discharge plans and d/c summaries.

  • Lead psychoeducational groups for CCS/Respite clients.

  • Maintain complete, accurate and timely records.

  • Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, in-service trainings, and other required meetings.

  • Receive supervision on a consistent basis.

  • Provide supervision for staff and/or interns as assigned by supervisor.

  • Follow agency policies and procedures.

  • Assist Program Supervisor with recruitment and training of CCS/Respite clinical staff and interns. 

  • Coordinate scheduling of clinicians and relief coverage. 

  • Provide supervisory coverage of CCS/Respite Program when CCS/Respite Supervisor is not on site. 

  • Provide On-Call-Supervision of Crisis and Respite Programs as assigned. 

  • Function as an active member of the program management team and treatment teams.

  • Develop community contacts and coordinate the development of crisis plans and protocols for clients who frequently present in CCS/Respite.  The client, family members, significant others and involved providers should be part of this process whenever possible and as clinically indicated.

  • Act as a liaison with community agencies, hospital departments and police departments when directed by Program Supervisor.  Provide consultation and education as needed. 

  • Comply with Agency, DMH, DPH and other licensing authorities including third-party payor regulations regarding record keeping requirements.

  • Complete all initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for those hospitals where employee will be providing services including obtaining required vaccinations, tox screens, and safety/health education competencies. (Agency to facilitate titres and screens; any necessary vaccinations/x-rays to be employee's responsibility.) 

  • Facilitate coordination between Crisis and CCS/Respite programs including screening Respite referrals, authorizing Respite admissions when Program Supervisor is unavailable and coordinating crisis intervention with Respite clients as needed.

Qualifications

Clinical Master's degree required with five years' relevant experience.  Must hold highest level of Massachusetts' licensure in appropriate discipline, LICSW or LMHC preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and computer competency.  Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment, and follow through with projects. Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software. Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
