Property and Leasing Coordinator, Low Threshold Housing, Springfield

CSO is looking for a Property and Leasing Coordinator to join our Low Threshold Housing Program in Springfield.

This position will coordinate and perform and perform a variety of administrative and technical tasks in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Friends of the Homeless (FOH) Low Threshold Housing (LTH) program.

As a Property and Leasing Coordinator:

You Will:

  • Identify new landlords and apartments throughout Hampshire and Franklin County that meet the requirements of the LTH program
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports which include, but are not limited to the following data: rent, occupancy, participant demographic information, program eligibility and socio-economic data for monitoring purposes
  • Ensure that all regulatory agreements, contracts and fair housing laws are met as they relate to the agency's DPH housing apartment-style living arrangements
  • Conducts briefing sessions with new tenants to explain local, state and/or federal program regulations and lease obligations, as well as public housing quality standards and housing assistance policies, rules and regulations
  • Maintains and updates tenant information into agency's computer database system.
  • Maintain "waitlist" of applicants
  • Maintains current knowledge of and good working relationships with other service providers with whom the agency collaborates; attends departmental meetings as required
  • Attend staff and Agency Management meetings as directed
  • Practice and guide staff in line with CSO's mission, values, and key operating strategies
  • Adhere to the philosophy of "customer satisfaction" and consistently follow the same by providing reliable, responsive, consistent, high-quality trauma-informed service in a timely manner to staff and external customers
  • Support and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation as an added value member of the Agency Management team; support CEO-approved goals and philosophies, sharing a fundamental philosophy that enhances the agency's global reputation within the community

Your Background:

  • Ability to produce required reports for federal, state and local governmental agencies for the benefits of tenants
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
