CSO is looking for a Senior Program Director for our CBHC (Community Behavioral Health Clinic) Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Gardner.
Our Emergency Service Programs (ESPs) offer clients behavioral health assessments, intervention and stabilization (for youth, families and adults,) 24-hour availability, and are a preferred alternative to hospital emergency departments. We provide daily assessment and brief counseling, case management, nursing support and peer support.
This position will provide daily clinical and administrative leadership of the Emergency Service Program in collaboration with the Crisis Services Program Director and CCS/Respite Program Director. The Senior Program Director will supervise all ESP services for the assigned location including staffing, programming, administration, finances, community collaboration, and working closely with the Vice President of Acute & Day Programs.
As a Senior Director:
You Will:
- Oversee the management teams of the Crisis, CCS/Respite, and PACT Programs, providing guidance to the Program Directors and their supervisory staff.
- Provide or delegate administrative and clinical supervision of clinical and counseling staff
- Provide support to both teams on a variety of clinical matters including crisis assessments and dispositions, CCS/Respite and PACT referrals and discharges, CCS/Respite programming, case management issues, and clinical supervisions
- Collaborate with other professionals providing services to Crisis/Respite clients
- Work with Program Directors of Crisis and CCS/Respite to review applicants, interview candidates, and hire quality staff with values that align with CSO's mission
- Work with the PACT Managers and DMH to monitor PACT caseload, quality of work, and adherence to PACT contract expectations
- Monitor staff scheduling to maintain ratio and shift coverage as well as quality services within approved budget
- Attend or conduct regular staff meetings in Crisis, CCS/Respite, and PACT Programs.
- Collect, record, and distribute statistical information and generate reports as necessary.
- Maintain and follow all program specific policies and procedures for Crisis, CCS/Respite, and PACT Programs
- Attend all required agency trainings and monitor staff compliance with agency trainings.
- Participate in the Utilization Review Team and ensure completion of all paperwork according to federal and state regulatory standards/timelines and agency standards/timelines
- If requested, monitor compliance with managed care companies' requirements.
- Meet regularly with the Program Directors to provide supervision, and with supervisor for supervision and to discuss current agency objectives and initiatives, best practices, as well as program/staffing matters
- Work collaboratively with other Directors of services across CSO to provide good continuity of care and warm handoffs; participate in ongoing meetings with regional hospitals, MCE's, DCF, DMH, law enforcement, other providers, community coalitions, etc. to develop and maintain positive working relationships and to support integrated Systems of Care when requested
- Ensure compliance with regulations of state and federal agencies, including DMH, MBHP, etc.
- Meet with DMH personnel as needed to coordinate care, discuss Respite census, and manage interagency relationships
Your Background:
- Clinical Master's Degree
- Clinical License (preferred)
- Supervisory/management experience
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
