Senior Program Director, Respite, Pittsfield

CSO is looking for a Senior Program Director to lead our Respite Program in Pittsfield, MA.

This is an exciting senior leadership opportunity to oversee our Respite Program in CSO's growing Pittsfield area services! This role will provide clinical and administrative leadership at all levels of planning and daily operations in support of the agency's mission to provide high quality, trauma-informed, fully integrated and outcome-focused client care. The Director is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Respite milieu, managing programmatic and quality improvement objectives, developing and implementing policies and systems to maximize staff productivity and efficient and effective program service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Respite Program providing assessments to DMH-enrolled clients experiencing a mental health emergency;
  • Providing administrative and clinical supervision for supervisory, clinical and counseling staff;
  • Guide staff to provide trauma-informed care with a strong focus on harm reduction and support individuals with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses;
  • Monitoring staff scheduling to maintain quality services within approved budget in a residential, 24/7/365 milieu;
  • Overseeing recruitment, training and evaluation of clinical, nursing and counseling staff for Respite Program;
  • Monitoring compliance with DMH and managed care companies' requirements;
  • Work closely with DMH to review referrals and review treatment goals;
  • Representing the agency in communities served, ensuring positive community awareness and connection to the agency;
  • Providing effective people management, assisting staff in establishing and achieving professional goals and providing excellent performance management and coaching;

Qualifications

Clinical Master's degree and independent mental health licensure with a minimum of five years' experience in mental health evaluation and treatment; comprehensive knowledge of or experience in Crisis and/or Respite program service delivery; minimum of three years' supervisory/management experience, including staff supervision; and excellent clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills.
