Technology Navigator, Northampton

CSO is looking for a Technology Navigator in Northampton. 

The Technology Navigator supports the Digital Equity program at Clinical & Support Options. Digital Equity aims to address disparities in access to devices, affordable internet and mobile service, digital literacy and tech support. The Technology Navigator partners with individuals and communities to connect them with the tools for vital functions like access to vaccines or healthcare appointments, employment opportunities, education and connection to natural and community supports.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the distribution of technology, including smartphones, tablets, and Wi-fi to clients where needed.
  • Provides one on one technical support to clients in the community to support telehealth access and technology goals.
  • Teaches technology basics, including: how to power up devices, access the Internet, and navigate programs (Zoom, email, other common applications).
  • Provides technology aids and reference materials.
  • Conducts an inventory assessment of technology access and skills of clients.
  • Conducts written assessments of client digital access and literacy in order to plan for and support their engagement with telehealth and technology-based care coordination.
  • Collaborate with other service providers.
  • Develop working knowledge of available benefit programs such as Affordable Connectivity Program. 
  • Provide wellness resources, and make referrals and linkages to community supports.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. At least 1 year of experience in health care and/or social service, or in a service-user facing technology related field is preferred. Experience working with people with mental health conditions and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred. Working knowledge of computers, software (Zoom, Outlook, etc.), smart phones, and tablets. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow through with tasks. Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
