Supervisor Peer Support & Recovery, Leominster

CSO is looking for a Supervisor for Peer Support & Recovery.

This position will implement and maintain comprehensive recovery and peer support programming services for clients and employees throughout the CSO community. The Supervisor will promote the establishment of a culture of awareness and integration of recovery and peer support services within all programming, groups and program sites, serving as the representative both within the agency and in the communities the agency serves.

Starting salary: $47,000-$50,000/year

As a Supervisor for Peer Support & Recovery:

You Will:

  • Provide implementation of comprehensive recovery and peer support programming and contract compliance through education, consultation and outreach initiatives.
  • Provide administrative supervision and guidance for peers throughout the agency to ensure quality service delivery and consistent integration of peer supports within the agency.
  • Provide appropriate modeling of the peer role and belief in the success of the recovery process through peer-to-peer and individual supervision.
  • Promote a culture of peer awareness and expanded peer integration across all facets of the organization.
  • Provide programmatic and environmental health and wellness solutions specifically designed to enhance client health and well-being, including recovery coaching, integration of tobacco assessment, education and treatment into program services.
  • Ensure compliance with the Massachusetts Certified Peer Specialist Code of Ethics.
  • Address stigma and stereotypes regarding peer integration and the recovery process both internal and external to the agency; practice a strength-based perspective and strive to eliminate barriers within the behavioral health system.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working environment with senior staff and Program Directors, ensuring the concepts of peer integration and recovery are effectively communicated and implemented.
  • Provide direct peer support to Persons Served as needed.
  • Collaborate on development of relevant proposals and program or grant funding efforts.
  • Attend staff and Agency Management meetings when directed.
  • Adhere to the philosophy of "customer satisfaction" and consistently follow the same by providing reliable, responsive, consistent and high quality service in a timely manner to staff and external customers.

Your Background:

  • College degree in relevant field or equivalent experience and two years' experience in behavioral health or related field Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred)
  • Massachusetts Peer Specialist Certification required Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience as a consumer of mental health services and willingness to share knowledge and experience of recovery
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
