Billing & Collections Specialist, Northampton

CSO is looking for a Billing and Collections Specialist for our Administrative Offices in Northampton. 

The Billing  and Collections Specialist is responsible for billing, clerical and backup reception duties, as well as gathering, entering and verifying of pertinent information. 

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain pertinent client/clinical information in database, including specific program required information such as TOPS, CANS, credentialing, or other required documentation.
  • Input, track and/or monitor prior authorizations.
  • Generate insurance claim batches weekly
  • Contact insurance companies on outstanding claims as requested.
  • Complete and send disability determination requests if required.
  • Review and approve services in EHR system on a timely basis.
  • Verify insurance eligibility as requested.
  • Work aged trial balance report weekly and follow up on claims not paid through coordination with Billing Analyst and Reports Manager.
  • Reconcile self-pay deposits.
  • Provide administrative support including scanning and attaching client records, referrals and medical records on a regular basis.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail orientated, and possess the ability to handle situations on a professional customer-service oriented manner at all times with clients, staff and external sources.
