Maintenance Worker, Northampton/Greenfield

CSO is looking for a Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team.

This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties in one or more of the buildings trades such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, installing, repairing, cleaning or remodeling agency owned and operated buildings and facilities. Responsible for enhancing the value of agency's community by prioritizing, coordination of performance maintenance, landscaping and cleaning duties necessary to maintain the physical condition and appearance of buildings and grounds.

This is a full-time, fully benefitted, in-person position and is offered with our generous benefits package. The normal schedule for this job is 1st shift, 40 hours/week, 8am-4pm with an on-call determined by staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the service requests and minor repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner
  • Performs various maintenance functions including minor repairs that do not require the need for a license in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, heating/air issues
  • Maintains equipment and monitors inventory
  • Operates snow removal equipment
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance record
  • May perform other duties deemed acceptable by the supervisor

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, two years id education and training beyond high school in general maintenance and repair or a closely related area. Experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
