We are hiring Relief, Per Diem, and Float Counselors to provide direct support to clients across multiple programs in Springfield, Northampton & Greenfield & Gardner, MA.

As a member of CSO's centralized float pool, you will support multiple sites and teams by providing coverage where it is needed most. This role offers valuable exposure to a variety of programs and client populations while allowing you to build experience across diverse clinical and community settings.

Starting Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour

You Will:

  • Provide supportive, therapeutic counseling while ensuring the safety, well-being, and dignity of clients/guests.
  • Assist clients/guests with activities of daily living, including self-care, meals, recreation, and medication administration and documentation.
  • Monitor clients/guests through rounds, hourly checks, and observations, responding to crises and safety concerns as needed.
  • Communicate with clients/guests in a respectful, empathetic, and professional manner while maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
  • Coordinate daily program activities such as intake, bed assignments, meals, social support groups, and safety assessments.
  • Document client/guest interactions, incidents, and progress in electronic health records and communicate updates with team members.
  • Support clients/guests in accessing systems of care and work to divert from emergency interventions whenever possible.
  • Enforce program or shelter guidelines, including schedules, chores, and safety protocols.
