Childcare Worker, FRC, Great Barrington

CSO is looking for a Childcare Worker to join our team at the Family Resource Center in Great Barrington.

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a community based, family focused program supporting parents, caregivers, and their children ages birth to 18. The FRC can provide linkages to community resources to help with basic needs, family support, and help with resources.  We provide a holistic array of activities for families that include support groups for parents, evidence-based parenting groups, school support, as well as arts, cultural, and recreational activities. 

As a childcare worker you will provide support and assistance with set up for child care events. and developing programing during child care time. Helping with clean up after events.  Might include food preparations.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with children, adolescents or transition age youth. Must be able to work comfortably and collaboratively within the mental health system, with team members, and effectively empower parents/caregivers. Will be able to document activities in a manner that meets agency requirements. Willing to participate in job-related training when required. Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends with some flexible hours.  Ability to work in unpredictable environments, occasional chaotic social settings, and with clients of varying cultural backgrounds. Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software.
