Kitchen Support Staff, Part-time

Looking for an individual to work as a Kitchen Support Staff for Friends of the Homeless on Saturday and Sunday shifts.  Qualified individuals would be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.  Kitchen support staff wash dishes, may assist Kitchen Manager or Assistant prepare/plate guest meals, assist other food service staff as necessary and perform a schedule of organizational and cleaning duties

Qualificiations: High School diploma or GED.  Experience in food service program a plus. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or-two step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.  Ability to maintain boundaries and consistently carry out shelter procedures while treating guests with respect.  Ability to be self-directed, organized and set priorities when working independently in the kitchen. Individuals will be required to move heavy supplies and full pans of food weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; possess and maintain all licenses and certifications required by law.  ServSafe certificate required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
