Family Partners working with the Mobile Crisis Intervention program are embedded in the Crisis Services team at CSO. They are relied upon to offer support and understanding to children and families in crisis by helping parents/caregivers gain the skills, self-confidence and access services to meet their child's complex needs. Family partners help others learn how systems such as the Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Families, schools, courts and the like can be managed and utilized as child serving systems. They are involved first hand in the wraparound process, care planning and are a valued member of the Crisis Services team. CSO provides excellent training for Family Partners as well as close supervision to support staff in their work with youth and families. To be a Family Partner at CSO, you must have a high school diploma or GED as well as two years' experience working with children, adolescents or transition age youth. We also need our Family Partners to have experience as parent or caregiver of a youth with special needs, preferably, mental health needs. The qualified candidate must have a willingness to share their experience with child serving systems. Additionally, we ask that you possess the ability to occasionally work evenings with some flexible hours.
