ESP Triage Specialist Supervisor, Athol

CSO is looking for a CBHC Triage Specialist Supervisor to oversee the Emergency Department intake and assessment of clients within the Athol region. 

This role would sit onsite at Athol Memorial Hospital and work in conjunction with our ESP Case Manager, Emergency Medical Doctors, and Emergency Department Nurses to ensure support for our clients in the region.

As a Triage Specialist Supervisor:

You Will:

  • Provide counseling and intensive support to consumers during psychiatric crises or periods of transition, during their time in the Emergency Department.
  • Triage individuals waiting for Crisis evaluations in the Emergency Department, for on-shift or incoming Hospital Services Supervisor.
  • Open or update charts for individuals being seen in the ED for crisis assessment in preparation for their evaluation, such as gathering demographic information, checking insurance, and determining presenting issues for the person.
  • Conduct inpatient bed searches for patients determined to be appropriate for this level of care.
  • Assist consumers with identifying appropriate mental health, addiction and medical services and accessing services of choice.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to ensure evals are timely and all documentation completed, and support supervision of the workflow in the ED system.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline or related field
  • Good listening skills; ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend work, as required by client needs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
