Crisis Support Worker, Youth Mobile Crisis, Emergency Services, Greenfield

CSO is looking for a per-diem Crisis Support Worker for our Emergency Services in Greenfield.

The Crisis Support Worker will assist clients and families in defining goals, reaching solutions, and achieving stabilization as part of a crisis intervention plan using a wraparound philosophy.  Role includes Crisis phone triage, providing supportive services to Crisis Stabilization clients, and providing family support and training while working with a clinician in Mobile Crisis Intervention procedures.


  • Ability to shift between designated roles when assigned - phone triage, crisis stabilization support, and family support and training (mobile crisis intervention.)
  • Be available to work flexible schedule, which may include evening and weekend work, as required by client/family needs.
  • Work as a team member in all crisis activities, following program procedures, informing team members of essential information, and supporting team in creating positive outcomes for clients.
  • Assist clients and families with identifying appropriate mental health and medical services and accessing services of choice.
  • Provide assistance with developing and maintaining appropriate contacts with family members and others in the "natural support network" of family and friends, outpatient therapists, and others as necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all mandated reporting regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, school meetings, program and agency case conferences, and other interactions with providers to promote integrated consumer services. 


Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline or related field. Qualification as a family partner strongly preferred (person with extensive experience caring for a child receiving services). May also be a paraprofessional or peer specialist. Demonstrated experience working with children and families, demonstrated parenting skills, and good listening skills; an ability to foster self-sufficiency, familiarity with support and parent education resources, and an ability to use Wraparound philosophy emphasizing family and individual voice and choice. Knowledge of community needs and resources, Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software., and excellent oral and written communication required.  CPI Safety certified or willingness to obtain CPI Safety Training certification. Must be able to work independently and follow through with projects as well as be an effective member of a team.  Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
